Spotlight on Research Ethics:

Appropriate standards of research ethics are critical
to scholarship in our discipline. In the last few years, a number of
ethical issues have cropped up, including those associated with
plagiarism and self-plagiarism, the fabrication of data, and
inappropriate authorships (for instance when a prominent 'name' is
added to a paper so as to increase the likelihood that the paper is
accepted).

Planning Conference
The
Next Step
On April
3-4, 2009, AIS will host the Student Chapter
Planning Conference with Temple University in
Philadelphia. The conference will bring together faculty and
student leaders to discuss and be a part of founding the AIS branded
student chapter structure. It is intended for faculty advisors
and other faculty leaders at universities with existing student
organizations as well as student leaders.
Registration is now open for this groundbreaking event.
